  • Planning work on live in-service pipework, vessels & tanks including high risk hydrocarbon lines including shutdown work on tight schedules

  • Supporting many different lay projects using various types of umbilical’s and power to fibre optic subsea cables rigid/flexi pipe utilising Vertical to horizontal systems
  • Responsible for the safe and correct operation of all equipment associated with rigid pipe/flexible pipe and umbilical handling/laying and supervising a team of 4
  • Transpooling of new umbilicals when required from manufacturer to storage barge then onto OCV in accordance with relevant procedures and standards adhering to insurance limitations of maximum transpooling allowance and minimum bend radius’s
  • Assemble, install, test and certify new systems during mobilisation in accordance with relevant procedures and standards and perform pre-commissioning to tensioners, spooling towers, VLS systems and Carousels on board the OCV
  • Operating start stop control stations on hydraulic pop up firing line rollers A&B, up, down for reel hub drives, carousels and VLS
  • Operating & maintaining HPU winches, moon pool doors for ROV’s and skidding systems for overboarding
  • Carry out panned maintenance and troubleshooting for unforeseen problems
  • Working with PM’s and the project team to ensure integration of project activities
  • Preparing procedures and specifications related to construction, loadout & installation
  • Coordinate heavy lifts using sheerlegs to mobilise 2,500Te carousels, VLS & RHD’s etc
