August 2016 - Present
Fan Systems; Halifax

  • Working directly for Fan System covering the Welding & Materials for various fan configurations on general and Nuclear design. Assemblies manufactured from Carbon, 316L Stainless Steel; 22% Duplex; Hardox 500 & Naxtra 70
  • Qualification of relevant weld procedures and welder qualifications to comply with BS EN 287 and ISO 9696-1 requirements
  • Dimensional & Welding Inspection on completed assemblies to BS EN 5817 to level B, C & D. Monitoring of all welding operations FCAW; MAG & TIG and development of welding traceability documentation
  • Installation of new welding & quality procedures for future company projects

  • Responsible for setting up the company document control system and its implementation. Updating all vessel and Offshore department procedures.

  • Seconded to EMC Ltd; onboard the Castoro Sei Laybarge as QC Superintendent during numerous pipe lay projects for Shell; BP; Statoil; British Gas; BHP
  • During vessel down time I was lead inspector during the vessel modifications
  • Seconded to Van Oord ACZ; Gorinchem; Holland on the Sakhalin II project as QA/QC Superintendent

  • Seconded to BP Exploration onboard the DLB 1801 during the 36” Export pipeline installation from Cruden Bay to the Forties Charlie
  • Seconded to UK Construction as a Senior Welding Inspector at Maryport, Cumbria in charge of all Stainless steel spool fabrications for the THORPE nuclear processing site
  • Seconded to EMC Ltd onboard the Castoro Sei pipe lay vessels as a welding inspector during the Amoco; Shell & BP pipeline projects
  • Assigned to the Tay Road Council as Client Rep during the fabrication of the Tay Road Bridge sections at vendors premises in Teeside and Humberside.
  • Seconded to EMC Ltd onboard the Semac 1 & Castoro Sei pipe lay vessels as a welding inspector during the Gannet; Morecambe Bay and BP pipeline projects
  • Working as a plating foreman on the 48A platform during the modifications and installation of the 48B approximately 1.8 kl away.
  • Working on Sasol 3 project in Secunda, South Africa completing the inspection of Gas pipelines from the plant to relevant Tank farms.
  • Plating foreman on several site in Holland completing the modules for Offshore structure.
  • Working as a foreman for a small fabrication company throughout the UK. Working on Carbon and Stainless pipe work and structures
