  • Mobilisation with maintenance and operations on cable load for Rampion windfarm and infield cable lay installation with recovery of export cable.

Aug- 2016 – VBMS

  • Laying 27km replacement power cable from France to Jersy on the Normandy one project along with general maintenance

  • Working with risers with VLS and A&R winch for connection to an FSPO and general maintenance to equipment.

Carousel/Tensioner Technician

  • Based onshore working at Wellstream Flexible Pipe Solutions in Newcastle.
  • Duties included fitting under-rollers together and fitting hydraulic hoses to HPU. Stripping back pipes, fitting end caps and filling with epoxy resin, ready for transit and subsea.
  • Also responsible for general and mechanical maintenance on equipment.

VLS Technician

  • Working onshore loading up Alina vessel with VLS equipment and bolt tensioning down the VLS.

Jul 2014 – Oct 2014 – Saipem
VLS Technician

  • Operating VLS equipment and bolt tensioning on the Burrulus project, Egypt. 3 parts of equipment of the VLS system, also operating reels and tensioners and winches for cable laying.
  • Also responsible for daily general and mechanical maintenance on equipment.

Apr 2014 – May 2014 – VBMS
Carousel/Tensioner Operator

  • Working in Germany on the Dan Tysk Windfarm as Carousel/Technician preparing cables, ready for J tubes to install onto turbine towers.
  • Operating the winches, attaching cables to the winch and lowered onto the seabed.
  • Also responsible for daily general and mechanical maintenance on equipment.

Feb 2014 – Feb 2014 – OMM
Carousel/Tensioner Operator

  • Working onshore at Harwich Navy port operating onshore 10tn tensioners, preparing cables ready to be loaded onto vessels using a 10tn winch loading carousel. Also responsible for daily general and mechanical maintenance on equipment.

Dec 2013 - Jan 2014 - Leighton Offshore
LCE and A Frame Operator

  • Working offshore in the Al Basra Oilfield in Iraq, onboard the barge MPV1.
  • Duties included operating 8 pair and 2 pair LCE and A frame equipment for a fibre optic cable lay project. Also responsible for daily general and mechanical maintenance on equipment.

  • Working offshore Shetlands for a cable lay project where duties included mobilising and operating a 10tn tensioner and 70tn and 10tn winch.

May 2013 – Aug 2013 - Leighton Offshore
LCE and A Frame Operator

  • Working offshore in the Al Basra Oilfield in Iraq, onboard the barge MPV1. Duties included operating 8 part and 2 part LCE and A frame equipment for a fibre optic cable lay project. Also responsible for daily general and mechanical maintenance on equipment.

  • Working onshore at Deep Ocean’s base. Duties included preparation and maintenance on PT1 Trencher, changing water jet bladed on the trencher, and changing wire ropes ready for subsea operations.

  • Working offshore in Norway, onboard the Normand Oceanic
  • Duties included operating hydraulic reel drive system to recover 50 mil wire rope from the seabed
  • Also responsible for daily general and mechanical maintenance on equipment.

  • Working offshore on the Seven Pelican in Denmark as a Togi Reel Operator
  • Duties included laying Fibre optic cable onto the seabed

  • Mobilisation 26m bobbing carousel, compensator and fleeting tower system
